November is coming. . .

That's right. The dreaded month of November is almost here. The month which brings sleep deprivation and large amounts of caffine consumption for some. That month in which people are likely to feel more stressed in thirty days than they did the previous month. Where finger and wrist injuries are the bane of our existance, and the days just don't seem long enough.

What am I talking about? National Novel Writing Month of course!

Yep, another year of NaNoing has come. . .almost too soon. In eight days we'll be grabbing those pencils and notebook or that trusty computer and do some serious writing.

I decided on my plot just yesterday. I'm going to be working on a previous WIP that I had only written 1,000 words. I'm going to start from scratch and finish the whole thing by November 30th. The story is called "Journey to a Black Belt" and is the tale of a girl starting out in the martial arts and the difficulties and fun times she has. I think I'm going to write it in the regular format of third person, but also add some first person diary entries.

But this year brings new challenges. Being a freshman in college is hard enough. Adding to the stress of keeping my grades up and finishing my homework is writing fiction. Sounds like a good time, doesn't it? I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun, I'll just really have to work on time management.

50,000 words here I come!
